Dragonfly Faerie by Ryn

Hello everyone !

I recently received Designs by Ryn's beautiful Dragonfly Faerie to work with.   She is a beauty, love her wings, delicate dress and sweet face.

I have these photos on the XLarge option so that you can see the detail on her.

I created the background with Dylusions Inks and over stamped with part of Ryn's beautiful Flower Lace 2 stamp with Salty Ocean DI.     I stamped the Dragonfly Faerie with black Stazon Ink and coloured with my Prisma Pencils.    I added glitter on areas of her wings, blended a little Peacock Feathers DI around the edge.  I used Spellbinder S4-366 around the image.  It was the largest die in the set, so I traced around the outside of the die & hand cut the mauve mat behind it.

If you have a chance, please drop by Miranda's and Eileen's Blogs who are also on Ryn's Design Team.     Also Ryn's Facebook page is full of ideas using her stamps.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
Shirley

Hi, Shirley! We braved our freeze - at 9AM the sunshine is brightly shining, but we are still below freezing - so we had a good 12 hours worth. Isn't that supposed to happen up by your house? Not at mine? The incredible lace background on your card is the perfect backdrop for your daintily colored, pretty dragonfly fairy! Darling little charms, too!

I love this gorgeous fairy Shirley, and the lovely colours you've used. The delicate lace on the background looks so good too.
Hope the temps in your part of the world start to raise soon, although ours are set to go down again later in the week, but out of the wind it's really quite spring like at the moment.

Hey Shirley, love the way that you coloured Dragonfly Faerie :) Flower Lace 2 makes a nice subtle background texture for her. Good idea to use both stamps together. The charms are a perfect match as well. You always choose great embellishments. Hugs!

That background is astonishing & I love the way you used the same colours for her wings. My eye was caught by how the texture on the wings is echoed in the bodies of the dragonflies & I stopped & took a deep breath for those wing shapes are echoed again in the edges of your die-cut image panel. That's such a lovely way of using shape to enhance your image & make it more powerful.
Thanks for such a treat.

Love the blue/green background. It let room for the beholder to pick the place where the fairy is. Great stamp and beautiful card! Warm greetings, Gerrina
