Rising Bubbles & a Faerie

Hello everyone,  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I have a card today using another one of Designs by Ryn's exciting new Water Effects Texture Designs.    This time I've used Rising Bubbles, another very cool stamp that will be flying off her shelves!  I also used Three Leaves Set (a fav of mine) & one of the Faeries from the Dancing Faerie set.

I blended Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks over the background.  I flicked a bit of water to create drops, that are hard to see in the photo.   I stamped 2 of the leaves from Ryn's  Three Leaves Set, stamping off the ink to create a little depth.    I stamped Rising Bubbles in black & highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen.  I stamped the Faerie from Dancing Faeries Set, coloured with Prismas pencils, cut out & attached as show.

In this design, I feel the Faerie represents Ryn - a kind person, free spirit and talented artist on her adventure in the tropics of South America.   She was in a magical forest where she saw bubbles and decided to design a stamp from what she saw.

Ryn returned to her homeland recently to meet the demands of rising sales to creative people all over the world.  Her customers are friendly & generously show their beautiful creations on Ryn's Facebook page.   They appreciate her unique designs & extremely high quality stamps.    Unfortunately she also came home to learn that another stamp business has copied a popular idea.    It makes me so sad as Ryn is a very good person and would never do that to another artist or business.    Greed is not pretty.   Beware of imitations, they are also not as 'pretty'.

Thank you for your visits, they are appreciated.    I hope you have a great day!
Shirley

Another stunning card Shirley, and another great water stamp from Ryn. I love the way that the faerie seems to be playing with the water droplet.

This is beautifully evocative of your description & I love the way both the wings of the faerie & the stamped leaves are reminiscent of a South American tropical forest. The gems you used are wonderful with the bubbles & the white highlighting looks gorgeous. So sad to hear about the design being copied - whenever I think of raindrops or water droplets I automatically think of Ryn's designs. Truly unique.

Hi, Shirley! A wonderfully written post - loved every part of it. And the dancing fairy looks just perfectly at home in your fantasy setting. Lovely "heavenly lit" colors, too. Beautiful! xo

Sensational card, Shirley! I feel like I am the fairy, floating in the bubbles, so that's a pretty cool reaction!!

I'm sorry someone stole Ryn's work product. Skanky! You have to believe that it all comes back around, otherwise it's too depressing!!

It's always an adventure to visit here & see what goodies you've created anew! This one is so delicate & pretty. I'm sorry to hear copyright got violated...I just looked at that Bubbles stamp. It's on my list! (I would have ordered, but hit Dick Blick for some pan pastels this afternoon...sigh)Too many new techniques are coming to my notice. This is a most beautiful card...see you next time!!! TFS & for sharing Ryn with us too. Hugs

Beautiful card as always Shirley. The waterdrops are amazing, they look so real. I just went to Ryn's site to look at her stamps and I was SO in love!! I want them all!! I'm making up a wishlist and trying to keep it within reason. I also went to look because I wanted to be sure that I only buy Ryn's originals.

Gorgeous card Shirley! The bubbles are so effective as I expected them to be... so shocked to hear someone else has copied her designs, they won't be anywhere near as good! As you said, Ryn is a lovely girl and would never do that to anyone else so that makes the news doubly horrid. xxx

Hey Shirley, I want to thank you so very much for what you wrote about my Water Droplet design. It feels so good to have your support and to read all of the comments that your lovely followers have left. Brings warmth and positivity to a not so great experience. Thank you :)

That is a horrible thing to happen to Ryn! They should be drawn and quartered! I would really like to know which company that is so I can be sure to NEVER support them! On a happier note your card is fantastic! The little water fairy is positioned perfectly..looks like she is helping them along swimmingly! Fab blend of colors and design my friend!!!
All is well here...we got 6 inches of snow over the weekend. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Hugs,
Ellen

Hi Shirley!
A bit of a late reaction :) but wow, another beautiful creation and what a great stamp Ryn has designed! Love those droplets! Well done too with the lovely faerie ... indeed very magical! LOVE the blue and yellow background! Nice work! Bad news about the people copying her design though, but "what goes around comes around" right!
Warm greetings, Marlene :)
